This is not about My Personal Life, rather My Personal Perspective on Life.

-Racial Segregation? Try Language Barrier-

Intro::..

Well, here's a Subject I've wanted to Pen about for awhile, also the Main Purpose this Blog was opened in the 1st place, and in case You Did Not Notice, I've posted a Warning that says only for "Liberals"? If you can't Accept the things I Write in my Blog, Don't Bother, Leave Now. Even though I love typing out everything that's on my mind, I Still Do Not Wish to get into Trouble by Touching On what They Deem as Sensitive Issues.

You've Been Warned..::

I personally think that there's No Such Thing as Racial Segregation. At least, not in Malaysia. What have been Separating us have one or more reasons Attributed to Language. If not Generally, then Culturally.

This is my Point of View regarding this Matter. I remember back when I was in Primary School, Everyone of us Gets Along just well. The Malays and The Chinese, well, there are no Indians in my class, but I have a Story to tell about an Indian friend of mine later on. You see, I went to a Chinese School. So everyone of us are required to Converse in Chinese, even The Malays, to Brush Up on our Mandarin Comprehension. To us, it's Never about Race, just the fact that Their Skin were Darker than us, and Nothing More Than That.

But after we went to our Respective Secondary School, the Gap just got Obviously Widen among My Malay and Chinese Friends. The reason for that is very Simple. The fact that even My Malay Friends from Primary School stop talking in Chinese, even to us Chinese, they started to talk in Malay, the language they're most Comfortable in, even now, they had Indeed Opt to not Speak Chinese, but still Understands us even if we were to Speak Chinese to them. The reason is Simply Because they are Comfortable conversing in Malay, just as they are Comfortable in their own Skin. It's just the same for Chinese as my friends will Pick Chinese over Malay or English in Conversations unless forced to Converse in that Specific Language.

But for me, it's not all about Language, being brought up in a Tri-Language Family, I feel rather Ease conversing in any of the 3 Languages. That comprises of Malay, Chinese & English. The reason is that I speak English Ever Since I was a Kid with my Family. I speak Malay to some of my Relatives and Grandmother. I speak Chinese with my Friends in School. Some say I have the Best of 3 Worlds, I say I'm just a Mixture of ABC, Separate it, and I'm actually No Good For Either, but Combined, it makes me who I am Today.

You probably still cannot Grasp the Idea I have in Mind Right Now. But it doesn't Matter, I have lots of Stuff I just want to Get It Out from My Head. When I say it's about Language, I'm referring to the Effect it has on us, the Exposure we get, the Environment we were Brought Up in. You see, for my Chinese-Ed friends, they read Chinese Newspaper, they watch Chinese Series, they are brought up in a very Chinese-Like family. And I won't say the Chinese do not have Flaws as a Chinese myself, the Chinese Newspaper is a very Good Evidence indeed, Gossips are Splashed everyday as you open the Newspaper. The English Newspaper do not Focus so much on Such Little Details in the Life of others. And so it's the same in their Life. Gossips? Heck. Who cares?

For a Banana like my Sis, the ones she Mix with are mostly English-Ed, a few Chinese-Ed that isn't so Chinese-Like. So even among our own Race, Segregation happens, what more do you Expect among other Races? You get what I Mean now? I grew up watching P.Ramlee's & Hindustani Movies; English, Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean & Indon series. So I was Exposed to all the Different Cultures I see on TV, I See the World through a Kaleidoscope. Hence, the Confusion of the True Direction I'm looking at, but Nevertheless, Amazingly Beautiful.

About the Indian friend I was Referring to earlier on, he's one of my Ex-Best Friend, meaning we used to be Best of Friends, but not anymore, not due to his Race, but solely due to Communication Issues. When we were friends, for some Reason he kept having this Idea in his Head that people Discriminate him for his Race. That is One Thing I kept trying to get it out from His Mind. I just couldn't understand The Fact that even if They Did. Why does it even Matters? When the one that Matters do not even give a Damn. One of the Reasons that led to our Broken Friendship eventually, yet he didn't even Realize.

Well then, had a lot I wanted to say, but Right Now isn't the Time, will Carry On later, my Mind needs Rest.

At the End of the Day, We are all the Same..::
